Check Schedules, Direct Deposit, Tax, and Verification of Income

Direct Deposit

Directly depositing your monthly pension check into your bank account is the fastest and most convenient way to receive your pension. Avoid the trip to the bank and sign up today.

Payment is deposited electronically into your checking or savings account on the first day of each month (unless the first day of the month falls on a weekend or a bank holiday). Because of processing time, your first and/or second payment may be sent by mail.

To enroll in direct deposit online:

  • Log in to MyCentralStatesPension.org. If you do not have an account on our website, you can create one here.
  • From your dashboard, click on Direct Deposit in the navigation bar.
  • To set up your direct deposit for the first time, or update your direct deposit information if you’ve already enrolled, click on the Update EFT button at the bottom of the page. This will open the direct deposit form, and you can begin filling out your information.

To enroll in direct deposit by mail:

  • Complete the Direct Deposit Form
  • Include a voided check or a pre-printed savings deposit slip
  • Return the form and the voided check or a pre-printed savings deposit slip to:

If you change banks in the future, you will need a new form. 

Send My Check by Mail

Every effort is made to ensure your check is received on the first day of each month. However, there is no guaranteed delivery date because of circumstances beyond our control. If your check is mailed outside of the United States, extra time should be allowed for delivery. In the event a replacement check is necessary, one might not be issued until the 10th day of the month.

Tax Form 1099-R available online

The IRS Tax Form 1099-R will be mailed to all Central States Pension Fund payees by mid-January. For your added convenience, you can print your own 1099-R from our secure website. To view or print your 1099-R form, log in with your username and password then navigate to the Documents section on your dashboard.

If you haven't received your 1099-R in the mail by February 15 or are unable to print one, you can request that a duplicate copy of your 1099-R form be mailed to you by sending us a message through the Message Center which can be found on the Contact Us page of our website or under Message Center on your dashboard. Be sure to include "Duplicate 1099-R" in the subject line, and provide the following information in the body of the message:

  • Your social security number
  • Your current address
  • Your daytime telephone number
  • Tax years needed

Verification of Income

When you need to provide Verification of Income (VOI) for financial or other reasons, we have all the information online.

After you log in, instantly print out a VOI letter which details your monthly pension amount or disability benefit by clicking on the Verification of Income link on your dashboard.

If you don't have an online account, register here.

Typically you need a VOI letter when proving your income to a third party such as a mortgage company, a landlord, or a government agency. Only those receiving a Retirement Benefit can view the VOI letter online.
